SQUASHEESE (CHEESY SQUASH BALLS): A COOKING GUIDE

These Cheesy Squash Balls are a delicious and healthy snack that's perfect for any occasion. First, these are the ingredients we will use to make these cheesy squash balls:

1/2 squash ₱30

Cheese(any kind of filled cheese) ₱45

All-purpose Flour ₱10

Cornstarch ₱ 27

1pc. Egg ₱8

• 1 Bottle of Cooking Oil

2sachet. Breadcrumbs ₱50

• Malunggay Leaves

Salt and Pepper to taste


For the sauce:

1sachet. Ketchup ₱10


Procedure:


  1. First, you need to wash the ingredients and clean the tools and equipment that we will use.

  2. Peel the pumpkin and cut it into a box shape.

  3. After cutting the pumpkin, boil it on medium heat until it softens for about 15-20mins.

  4. While boiling the pumpkin, cut the cheese into a box shape and set it aside.

  5. When the squash is already soft, put it in a bowl and mash it.

  6. Put the salt, pepper, and malunggay leaves in and mix them well.

  7. After mixing it well, form a circle shape.

  8. Put the cheese cubes cut earlier inside the squash balls and roll them well again.

  9. After that, strain and heat a pan, and when it's hot, add oil.

  10. Put the egg and breadcrumbs in a separate bowl.

  11. First dip the squash balls in the egg, then in the breadcrumbs, and fry them until they're golden brown.

  12. Put it on the plate and prepare the ketchup for the sauce.

  13. Serve it and enjoy!
